About Ave13Co

Ave13Co is a small, independent site about looking after your health in ordinary life. Our tagline talks about an "ideal health plan", and we mean something modest by it: not a strict regime, but a handful of habits and good questions that suit you and that you can keep up when life gets busy.

What you will find here

  • Health and health care — clear explanations of treatments, therapies and professions people ask about, so you arrive at appointments better informed.
  • Diet — realistic eating and drinking habits, without fads or forbidden-food lists.
  • Mindfulness — short, practical ways to slow down, from breathing breaks to handling nerves.
  • Wellbeing — the everyday basics: posture, rest, routines and small adjustments that add up.

How we see our role

We are not a clinic and we don't diagnose, prescribe or replace anyone's doctor, dentist or therapist. What we can do is explain things calmly, point out the questions worth asking, and say clearly when something is uncertain. Every article is general information, and our important health information page explains what that means in practice.

Who reads Ave13Co

Our readers range from people trying to build healthier routines to those weighing up a treatment, supporting a relative or simply curious about how something works. What they have in common is a preference for straightforward information over hype.

Staying independent

Some articles mention or link to outside websites where it helps explain a topic. A link is never a promise about a product or service, and we encourage you to judge any provider for yourself. If you spot something out of date, we would like to hear about it on our contact page.

A word from the editors

Why we keep things modest

Health writing often promises transformation. We would rather help you take one sensible step at a time and feel confident asking about the rest.

If an article leaves you with a clearer question for your next appointment, it has done its job.
